Values of Worship: #1

Last year I was privileged to attend a worship retreat with 20 other worship leaders from around the world.
I took away tons of stuff from that week, but one of the big things that stood out to me that I still consider every weekend was the discussion on Values of Worship.

Over the next few weeks I’ll outline 3 values of worship that we have embraced at The Church at Chapel Hill.

Worship Value #1.
Our worship needs to be: EXPECTANT

When we worship, we can have the assurance that God is going to show up.
Psalm 22:3 But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel. NKJV
We can expect His presence to move in our hearts and lives.
We can expect deliverance, healing, salvation, freedom etc… all that comes from God.

Let this first value of worship encourage you not only in your corporate worship, but in your daily worship. Expect God to show up and move on your behalf. He inhabits the praises of His people.
Be expectant in your worship!
